Product feeds to affiliate site

How do they work?

Do you always have to download their product database to a MySQL database on your local server?

Is there a simpler way?

Coding is not my strong suit. Is there a place to buy ready-made software that will assist me in downloading product info to my website?

Do any of you know a person or company that sells, resells or writes the scripts that would accomplish such downloads or product feeds?

In my experience most companies that offer a data feed also offer a way to implement it. Usually either something they've written themselves or they'll point you to a third party app that's been written for their program.
