I do not think 30000 impression per month is suitable for per click compaign.
Sorry to disagree with you, but if your site is content specific, then I would say you will be better of with cost per click instead of cpm. Also, trying to sell 30K impressions is not going to be easy, as most advertisers I know, are generally wanting to buy more then 100k. In addition, most ad network might give you like 20 cents or 50 cents (Tribal Fusion has ads upto US$ 12.00/cpm, atleast for my site) while you are more likely to make better money with Google AdSense.
Darn it.. it is your site and I am fighting like it is mine... ;) well friend, I understand you wanna make money and I am trying just my best to help out with that..
P.S.. you know you can try both of them? one on left and other on right.. see what works the best ;)
Hope this helps.

I would suggest however that CPC and CPM can always be compared generally.
For example if you are making $10 dollars on 1,000 impressions by CPC by getting 1% click throughs and $10 a click, it is the same as being paid 1c per impression. Unknowns related to predicting medium term to long term revenue relate to such things as the traffic your sites/pages get, and the guarantees you have over time of a certain CPM or CPC. Specifically talking about Adsense - you have NO guarantees at all while affiliates will generally give you some guarantees.
I love Adsense, but its no basis for a business model, until it gets competitors which will set a "market price" and some stability in case Adsense discointinues, lowers their commissions, intrduces further restrictions, or just stops serving to your site as they amortize.
CPM is CPM, no matter if it comes from CPC or CPM.
I say, give it a shot for a week and then judge later.
I might ad that by appearant adsense standards my site is CRAPPY attracting the <0.10 CPC ads, and still my CPM beats your proposed $0.50
Give it a try is all I can say.
