Hi, first off I'd like to know if Ebay is a good affiliate worth tinkering with on my site? (In your experience... Good money/click through rate?)

and secondly...

How to set up 'targeted' ebay links...

Say I run a music site on The Beatles for example... I'd like Ebay links to automatically only show Beatles memorabilia currently up for auction on ebay.

Thanks. :)

If going through CJ;

Ebay pays $0.05 per bid and $6 (used to be $5) per confirmed registration. You have to check the TOS for actual definition of 'confirmed' but in any case expect a few reversals.

Regarding the customized content, it is possible though again you'd have to refer to the details within CJ (or Befree).

See the "editor kit" available at befree and cj. You can specify keywords to show ebay auction results on-the-fly w/ the editor kit. Highly flexible w/ layout, colors, size, etc... uses a javascript code to integrate into your pages.

There are also a few scripts around that do the same thing.

Does the "editor kit" somehow link with your Ebay account?

On ebays site there is info about both cj and befree ebay affiliate programs. It is not easy to find this info on the networks (cj/befree). Editor kit and flexible linking tools:

What gets me really mad is the insistence on US based affiliates.

Don't they know it's the WORLD wide web?
