For people how are affiliates and create various sites targeted at different demographics within a market, it is important to have carefully crafted link structures.

I have been working on ways to randomize link structures when managing many sites.

I've been manually trying to add a "random" factor but if it's manual over many sites, it can't be quite so random.

So I was wondering if anyone has ideas on how to do this?

Some people like to use Kartoo to make sure the linking patterns look natural. I'm not one of them. I just try to link when it makes sense and to make sure I get some links to/from outside my circle of sites.

Since the need to randomize link patterns isn't even remotely on the radarscope for most webmasters, I think you may have to go custom scripted, 2m --probably based around a cms system. I've seen one proprietary (sorry, not for sale) setup that allows the webmaster to select either a structured or a random pattern to be used when the cms script assembles the page.

I couldn't find anything on site search. Could someone explain the reasoning/logic behing this concept. And also maybe how exactly it works?

thanks,

Thanks RC, I'll have that built.

Kpaul, my thinking behind it is that the web isn't organized or structured. Sometimes, when creating link structures, we do it in a very orderly way - this clearly gives Google the indication that it's "unnatural", not organic.

So now I'm looking for a tool to manufacture organic'ness.
