I was wondering if anyone can tell me their opinion of 24/7 Real Media. By any chance do you guys know their payouts? are they worth getting into?...

thanks for the help.

I think tribalfusion, Burst, and Fastclick are better networks.
24/7 has that ad serving fee that most publishers have to agree to this alone makes them bad in my book.

Also I love how they shut down their contentzone division for small publisher sites a few years back. They did it with absolutely no notice except blank banners starting to serve.

From what other publishers tell me 24/7 is not the best network as far as CPM. And they have contracts. I remember when I was with contentzone before they shut it down they had the most professional checks at least.

I have tried both tribalfusion and Fastclick, but am not impressed with ad rates. They payouts are so low (aprox US$ 0.70 to US$ 2.00 cpm) that I would rather not serve banner at all and have just a banner free web site.

I have never tried 24/7 but have heard lot of *good* things, but after reading your comments, I guess, I would like to talk to them on the phone and see what is their side of the story.

Thanks for your comments.

Also, if anyone else have any comments, that would be great.

ouch :(

I just had conversation with 24/7 person and was told that their payout rates is about 25 to 35 cents cpm :( and for the banners doing real good (best CTR) it goes about US$ 1.00.

lol.. I guess I with these rates I will be better off not selling my inventory and keeping my site as a ads free site - till targetted traffic is reached.

Adnetworks also tend to overstate the rates they can actually get for a given publisher.
If they say 25 to 35 cents cpm that could mean only on the choice inventory they can sell, with the rest resulting in defaults. This being an effective cpm of far less than the 25 to 35 cents cpm even.

If fastclick and Tribalfusion do not yield you rates you can find acceptable then probably no network ever will.

I would use (and recommend) Tribal Fusion over Fast any day any time..... just cuz of better support and better rates.

There were some banners I saw at fast that were 50 cents/cpm, while almost similer companies at Tribal Fusion were about US$ 3.00/CPM. The highest I have seen at Tribal Fusion is US$ 7.50/CPM (I think we get 65% of it or something), but this rate is not for all the ads and they are not able to sell the full inventory.
