Javascript Affiliates

One of my sites have affiliates on it and i use javascript to stop the search engines spidering them. Can the spideres see the affiliate URLs in the code and so be penalized by the search engines or do they ignore all javascript?

I think you are better off letting the engines see the affiliate links or at least some of them as the link text can often help increase rankings.

Thanks ill try that. Do you think it would also work with banner affiliates for the keywords in the alt text?

So you're an affiliate with affiliate links to merchants on your site. You don't get penalized for having affiliate links on your site. I don't like javascript links if I can help it.
