Hi
How can I advertise, promote it or in other words, find websites which are interested in joining a program?

vietnamtravel,

Welcome to Webmaster World.

You may want to start getting the word out about your program by getting it listed with various affiliate program directories.

If you join an affiliate network, they will do the promoting for you to all the website and newsletter publishers within their network.

Thanks, Ted
My affiliate program is a bit different to the standard one. I want to find websites selling our travel packages. They collect money, send customers to us and send us money after taking out his commission. It fact, it is more like "travel agent", and we target to websites selling tour package.
Is such a program suitable to post it on affiliate program directories?

Nguyen

There are those who post at WebmasterWorld who know more about the travel business than I do. However, I would say that the business model you're proposing to use may not work in many countries. In many nations, in order to operate as a travel agent, tour operator, etc. you have to obtain a license. Assuming that's true, you may have some difficulty establishing an affiliate program based on this business model.

Why not set it up like so many of the travel merchants and simply pay a commission to your affiliates and avoid any potential legal barriers?

What is there to stop your "partners" from sending customers to you to get the merchandise and then keeping all the money? I also suspect that most consumers would be wary paying one party and receiving product from a third party. They want the company collecting the money to be accountable. The success of setting up a program as you envision appear questionable.

I'm with Go60Guy in the belief that you should pursue a more conventional approach.
