Are marketing companies like this legit?

30,000 hits for $89

I have a site that is a gambling affiliate site so I can't use adsense or overture to market my site. I am looking for alternatives and have run across a site that promises 30,000 hits for $89. I am skeptical that they would be real leads and not hits from a bot of some sort. Has anyone used a service like this? Are any of them legit? How can I go about determining whether or not a company that sells hits is legit?

Hits? 30K for $89 sounds alright.
No humans in there though.

Actual prospects? probably at least $2 click.

More then likely it will just be bots hitting your site, there are some companies that actually have realy people visiting the site, but it still won't convert. Typically it works like this:

CompanyA tells JoeBlow internet searcher that since he is bored, they will pay him x cents (usually .25-2 cents) for every email he reads. He says sure, i dont have anything better to do. CompanyA then tells webmaster that he can get 10,000 hits on his site for $150. webmaster thinks it is a heck of a deal and forks over $150. CompanyA sends out 10,000 emails and pays each person 1 cent for clicking the link in the ad.

So technically, you would get 10,000 people to click a link to your site, and then close it immediately. And by "people" I mean 12 year olds with nothing better to do.
