Hotlinking to affiliate hotel pics

We run a travel site affiliate ads on our sites. I'm going to check with them to find out exactly what the rules are for hotlinking to their pics. I believe it's allowable for their affiliates to show their pics.

The question I have is does that have any negative effect on the rankings for our sites, especially google's Pr.

Many of the travel affiliate sponsors make photos available. Whether they allow hot linking or not I find it's always best to download and host the photos on my own servers just in case they make a change to the urls. It can save a lot of unexpected work.

As to it affecting rankings, I can't see any reason for it to one way or the other.
