We get our Value Click payments like clockwork, on the 20th of every month, or earlier. When the close of business came, we checked to see why we didn't have a payment notification, and checked our Value Click account. It showed the payment went out today, which is normally received within a minute.

In checking our Paypal account I see it never arrived. This is very odd.

We have not changed any account info at Value Click or Paypal, so there is no reason on our end, that this did not go through. We are in good standing with Value Click. At Paypal, we received other payments to that Paypal account today, both before and after the Value Click payment was due, in fact one within the last hour.

THe last payment received, was made by a new client, we received the payment instantly after they completed our account sign up process, and a Paypal email notification came instantly. This leads me to believe this is a Value Click problem.

Anyone else have this problem? Do you have anything to add?

We have contacted Value Click and not heard back as of yet.

Possilbe paypal had a glitch, accounting software with a glitch or maybe another glitch. I wouldn't worry too much if a payment is a few minutes late. I start to worry when it's a few months late.

I'm in the exact same boat. Let us know what you hear back from them.

I have the same situation and have emailed ValueClick/FC. Somewhat alarming since, like the original poster said, they are like clockwork on the 20th.

Crash with the cash! Got mine 09:36:28 PDT. A day late, but certainly not a dollar short.

Gotta love those guys.

Boy I sure wish some of the programs I'm with would only be a day late. Industry depending, you really need to track down and hound for your cash which shouldn't have to happen, but it does in some high paying industries.

Glad to hear you all got paid relatively on time :).

As an ex-accounts receivable clerk, if I see lay pays, I push them out the door. Lay pays are a sign of financisal mismanagement, and funds juggling. If I am on a 30 day net pay, I want to see my money by day 45 at the outside. When we are talking EFT paynment, the threshold is much lower. I only give 45 days where a check is in transit. I like to see consistency. It is a sign of well-placed faith.

The way I look at it, if they are not in to me too deep, when they go dot com bust, I have limited my loss. I was burned in the last dot com bust, by three public companies, one of them was my hosting company. Never again will I put so much of my trust or revenue percentage in a dot com.

Only recently, another public dot com company I was dealing with had early warning signs. I bailed on them at the first turn south. Three months later, they were bust, but I got out with all my money. It pays to keep a watchful eye on policy and procedure changes of your vendors. When public dot coms go bust, what are the odds a privately held dot com will go bust? The writing is on the wall.

This is why I watch closely for any sign things are going south with any one vendor. Heaven forebid I end up on the bottom of another dot dog pile again. I have let numerous vendors go, all of them widely talked about at WW, for excessive late pays and/or inaccurate payments.

There are too many vendors out there, too little time in the day, and too few days in a life, to let one company jerk you around. Our dot com world has a revolving door of good ideas mismanaged and gone wrong. It is best to keep the risk factor, very low.
