Hi everyone,

I am completely new to ebusiness and am wondering if you can help to either direct me to links, or give me a rough idea of what one may charge on an ezine/online community website for advertising.
I know that there are three categories of ads and that pricing will depend on the hits the site receives, but I haven't been able to find any info on the actual pricing...

I'd appreciate your help.

Hi and welcome to WebmasterWorld. Have you tried perusing other ezines and looked at their rates? Most sites/ezines have this information as well as telling you their circulation etc.

I don't think there is one set formula for pricing. Depends on your market and number of pageviews and what the market will bear. We search out competitors, get as much info as we can from their site and through Alexa and then try to price slightly below them, assuming it is profitable to do so, at least to start. That usually brings customers. As time progresses, you can raise prices if it seems warranted (grandfather the original customers in, though, at the old prices).
