HELP.rookie with 1.3 monthly hits.

OK....I have a site that is entertainment based on one of the top shows on TV right now....went to 1.3 mill hits in first month. I have looked at all kinds of affiliate programs and am locking in on one linkshare affiliate program....but with that kind of traffic is a banner based program paying of 5 to 8 % of final sales the best way to go?
The more I search the web doing research, the more confused I get. Any advice would be welcome.

hi,

please give a little more detail. how many pageviews do you get? how many unique visitors? "hits" mean too many things to people. Every image you have on a page is considered a hit. also, every access by a bot may be counted as a hit by some of the stat programs.
