Hi, I am building an affiliate site targeted at a very very competitive area. I have decided to use a very clean well optimised site with no pop ups, unders, redirects or any cloaking techniques. Trouble is, I am competing against people using these very methods to get their traffic. In the long run do I stand a chance of competing against these people.
Thanx for your opinions

Depends on how good you are. There is a possibility, but it will take a lot of work and time.

Sure, you stand a chance. :)

Keep in mind, though, that you are working uphill to gain ground. The other affiliates (usually) won't 'give it up' that easily, especially if it's lucrative...

My advice would be to keep it simple, clean, and work very - very - hard.

Over time, as long as you know what you are doing, 'clean' affiliate tactics - and a site that really ads value, and isn't just about the affiliate link - will trump all else.

Definitely. You won't have to worry about being booted from the engine, and it is so much easier to get links. It just takes a lot of work and a whole lot of patients.
