Opinion on various ebooks to get started.

Are they worth buying or is it like...

Are the various ebooks on AM worth buying or is it like that scene from "A Day At The Races" by the Marx Brothers where Groucho has to keep buying another book to make sense of the first?

I get the sense that there are about 10 of these guys who have written niche books around AM and they've created a self-referencing cirle. That circle of references is enough to make me think it's a bit of a scam... so I'd appreciate hearing from the experts.

I'd prefer to hear from people who have actually read these things as opposed to general comments that these type of things are rarely worth the money.

I think if you search through WW you'll find far more information than you would get from an Ebook.

Off hand, I haven't actually read any. I simply use the resources here to great benefit!

Don't expect to buy one and start cranking out cash overnight. If you have no experience whatsoever in the affiliate world there will be some good tidbits of info in some of them but that same info (and more) is likely to be right here just scattered in many different threads.

There is no substitute, however, for trial and error, testing, testing and more testing and lots and lots of time.

If ya do decide to buy one, will be happy to supply an affiliate link to use. :)

Yes, I'm doing lots and lots of reading on this forum... and I plan on doing a lot of testing, as advised.

Can someone point me to a thread that suggests a good initial strategy for testing the various keyword groups. Something like...

"start in the niche keywords for an ad group and bid low, then incrementally raise until you see the results you want and figure out if it's a sustainable ROI."

That seems like an obvious approach... but I've been reading here that Google suspends various adword groups for low CTR... so how to blend that in to your strategy, etc.

I *think* I'm approaching this the right way... but I definitely want to learn the best approaches right up front.

I use adwords myself, but I have never seen adwords strategies outlined her. Maybe I don't spend enough time in the adwords forum. That might be the best place to look.

Some posters mention that they use trial and error and spend a lot of money before they succeed. Others, say Adwords didn't work for them at all. But at least it's all "real world" information.

You may find strategies to follow in Ebooks, but I think adwords strategies really depend on the niche you are in.

Also, if someone has a really good adwords strategy, I doubt that they will give it up.

Have you installed the search tool above. It makes it alot easier to search?
