Banner on Chat Page -- What should I set for meta refresh?

I am in the process of adding a flash chat to my website that I know will be very popular.

I am going to banner to the top of the page in a frame with a meta refresh. I just can't decide how long I should set the refresh to.

There are 13 banners in rotation right now and there are usually around 10-15. I am dealing with the advertisers directly and they pay a monthly rate for a spot in the roration, so I will not be infringing any banner network policy.

I would like to get your opinions. Thanks.

How long before the advert is refreshed...

It might be a good idea to log into some of the well established chat sites, Yahoo chat for example and time it. You can bet the will have done a lot of research into it.
