Anyone approved know them?

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone approved for FC or CM could give an example of how big CPM rates they offer.

Thanks for your time =)

It varies according to how much and what kind of traffic you can send. I've seen Fastclick CPM rates as high as $5 but I'm sure there are others here who have seen much higher.

And that is the eCPM?

TribalFusion and Casale Media are both pretty low, and I guess Fastclick isn't much better.

I was getting a CPM of a bit more than a buck. I don't know anymore whether Casale Media managed to fill a good amount of my ad inventory but I still know that Tribal Fusion wasn't even able to display ads for more than 50% of my pageviews.

I have been running FastClick for 4 months, using banners, rectanges and skyscrpaers, and am completely disappointed. Whatever you do to try to increase your CPM (like turning off auto-select and killing all campagins below an effective eCPM of 60 cents) they seem to have a way of keeping you down. Either they will not fill your inventory, or, with their new gestapo tactic, they just slice off 15-20% of your daily earnings after their daily "audit."

This latest BS is particularly nasty, and the company simply doesn't decerve my business - this is after I had roundly praised them back in Decemeber.

Here's my experience from the past two days: Saturday was 1.20. On Sunday morning this was reduced to $1.00. Sunday was over $1.45. This morning that figure was reduced to $1.30. Of course, this isn't much, but, like I said they don't fill inventory very well. On Saturday afternoon, I installed Casale Media as a default and made more with those ads than with FastClick.

Does that make any sense? The default earns more than the chosen service? Not to me. And, of course, then they just steal money from you in their "audit." I don't get the audit bit, especially Sunday's, because I wasn't even on line, so I didn't look at any of my pages, and even when I do, it's maybe 10-15 pages a day. Shouldn't amount to as much as they're saying.

Basically, I'm calling FastClick a bunch of crooks and am removing them from my site. All I ever wanted from them was $3-4 per day, and even though I got close for a while, they made sure I earned less no matter what I did.

I urge anybody using them to post here with their results. I am switching to Casale Media because they have better tools, more transparent reporting AND more and better-looking ads.

My experience with Casale has been mixed. The CPM rates are quite good (I've primarily used pop unders; the eCPM is upwards of $3.50 most of the time), but the number of impressions has dropped precipitously over the past 2 months or so, while traffic has remained roughly steady. I recently discovered that the fill rate was, in my opinion, quite low (30-40% and sometimes in the 20s), although I don't know if that's a new development or something that's been happening all along. Given how much my impressions (and revenue) have dropped, my guess is that it's something recent. I've recently started using the banners, and the fill rate is better there. I can't remember the percentage right this minute, but it's much better than the popunders. I don't have any experience with FastClick, though, so I'm no help there. I'd really like to quit using the pop unders because I'm sure my site users hate them like I do, but I'm struggling to find something reliable to replace their revenue with. Sounds like FastClick is no magic bullet...

peggster, does Casale count raw or unique impressions (like once every 12 hours or something)?

I can't access my account right this minute, so I'm going from memory, but I know I have the popunders set on 24 hour unique. I think there may be other options as well. Once I'm in a place where I can log in, I'll see what the choices are.

Well,
It depends on the sector you are in. Neither FC nor cas do a good job of demographic targetting, so you can have a wealthy, underdemand demographic, but get no ads. We for instance see an average of $.65 on FC, and $.48 on casale. The fill rates on the top numbers are terrible, so they are great to boast about, but generally just eye candy.

I meant to say that I am running Skys and Boxes.

Thanks guys, I suspected that there was some catch when it came to the highest rates from FC and CM.

Feels like AdSense is the way to go, eh? =)

Well, as usual, as soon as I make positive comments, Casale's fill rate starts dropping, so I guess I'll just keep using them both (FC and CM) in combination. Maybe some day they'll manage to fill my inventory, which really isn't that large.

I run those two with AdSense, and have seen no diminishing in the click through rate for AS. Multiple revenue streams is what I'm after and so far it's almost working.

From my research (as an advertiser, not an affiliate) networks are nice to fill in some leftover inventory, or to pick up a few extra sites, but the mainstay of my advertising agreements are negotiated contracts with content providors (and the reverse is true as well, the content providors I work with primaraly rely on direct relationships for their ad income). That's lots of extra work up front, but well worth it in my experience.

So far, of the three companies that I've worked for, none of them have done much in the way of CPM network advertising.
