I recently signed up for shareasale ads program..I would like to know if they are worthy enough. I have apprehensions as one of the program I joined was an Education relateed site and I was declined permission to be their advertiser, though my site is completely for MBA preparing students. So, shouldnt they have readily accepted my site.?

Not necessarily!
Some merchants will only take on a limited amount of affiliates whilst still recruiting. This allows them time to look at your site and determine whether it is likely to make them any money. They seperate the wheat from the chaff and stick with the affiliates that are making good profits. You may find that they offer you a place later but if they are already happy with their current bunch of affs it is unlikely.
My advice, find another similar merchant and forget the first.

I'm a mechant that just signed up with Shareasale.. and we set to "Auto Approve". So we've got about 15 different affiliates that signed up so far.. but the sites are probably not going to convert much. I need better affiliates I know, but is there a harm in letting all the "little guys" try and get a sale?
I didn't think so, but your post makes me question letting anyone in the program.
I'm new at this as a merchant, obviously.
As for letting in all affiliates, if you're in a network it would seem like a pretty good idea. Lots of affiliates will sign up for tons of programs and may take a year or more to think up and implement some innovative way to promote the program. If you don't allow them in or drop them, they'll probably just put links up for a similar merchant.
I guess I just didn't understand this comment. Why seperate the wheat from the chaff if the chaff doesn't harm anything?
I dunno, just my past experience ;)
