Low fill rate for banner network

Only getting 30% fill rate. Is that bad?

Hi,
I have a website/photo gallery that receives over 3 million pageviews a month, however, my banner network only fills under 30% of the impressions. The rest go to defaults.

Does anyone know if that is terrible? Shouldn't my fill rate be higher than 30% for first tier? I feel like I am missing out on some major bucks!

That shouldn't be the case... you may want to apply to another network and rotate the two, see what the difference in earnings is. 70% of your traffic that isn't getting fullfilled is pretty bad.

Also, it could be the case that 70% of your traffic is non US and the network only serves to US users?
