I am relevantly new to this field. But when i choose category in CB it displays me top 10 in row. So most probably everyone go with 1st one. Is there any extra tip to consider or apply rule of thumb and go with top candidate. Thank You.

Most of the stuff in the top 10 already has a ton of competition as far as bidding for keywords goes. I would dig down a bit to find a niche that shows potential.
