Background colour

I recently changed an old affiliate site from white text on a black background to black text on a pale blue wash.

CTR has doubled, despite no other changes being made.

Does anyone else have similar experiences? I've come to thinking that I should run trials of different background and text colours.

Yep - ran a pretty blue lead collecting site for 6 months, averaged 3 leads per day.

Changed it to a horrible yellow after reading something about people liking yellow stuff, averaged 10 leads per day!

Am now trialling #FAFAD2 - it's a good match for the info-bar in firefox.
