Amazon: What is an "order"?

Does adding to cart count as an "order"

In my stats I see a order of a product last Sunday. However I don't see the money I should make counted on the order page. Does this mean they added it to their cart and didn't buy it yet, order it and canel, or is Amazon just slow in counting it?

Thanks,

An order is when the amazon customer checks out the item in their shopping cart that has your associates ID tagged to that item. You don't get paid for the order being placed. You get paid when, and if, the order ships. It could be the same day, it could be next week, it could be next month, and it could never ship if the order is canceled for one of many different reasons. Check your earnings report for items that have shipped.
