Chitika eMiniMalls: Unaudited vs Audited revenue

My Adsense earning went sharply down (about 70%) around 17th October probably because of smart pricing. So I implemented Chitika eMiniMalls along with AdSense and it performs pretty well. It makes what AdSense used to plus i still keep AdSense so now I'm at about 125% of my original revenue.

Problem is that I'm counting in Chitika's unaudited revenue. They say on their site they audit clicks for fraudulent ones and pay only legitimate clicks.

I would like to ask you if you've already received check from Chitika what is the average percentage of revenue they subtract. I would accept audited revenue to 80% of unaudited, if it was going to be less than that i would look for something else.

So simple question is: what's your audited/unaudited revenue percentage with Chitika?

I haven't been in it long enough to be audited, but from people I've spoken with, it has been about a 70/30 retention. It will depend on the location of your audience as they discount not only fraudulent clicks but also clicks from outside their serviced countries: US, UK, Aus, etc.

Some people report less than 10% others above 30%.

But I believe this month's audit may be better because Chitika made some changes to boost the advertiser's ROI.

Their stas are pretty bad... You cannot see acumulated monthly earnings. You must calculate day by day...

They'll get better sez - they'll get better.

It's far too good of a program to drop an account of poor stats. I'm making more with Chitika than AdSense every day now.

I started to target them to the locations they allow, so I expect less then 10%.

I got a Paypal for September and the rejection was about 9%. But again, my traffic is mostly US based. So the rejection corresponds to what I see in my logs as traffic from countries in Asia, Africa, etc.

I agree that their stats completely suck (have you seen the reporting interface? Geez!) but the money is green and they pay on time.

thanks for info ... i started to feel like it's all some kind of scam ... very little info about chitika from before october 2005 .. suddenly out of the blue everyone's talking about them though no one ever received a check from them ...

nice to see there are some people who actually got checks already

still, weird why would advertisers pay 7 times more per click in comparison with adsense (at least in my case) ... moreover assuming ads are not targeted

i'm curious how they get advertisers ... when they're more "expensive" than widely known adwords ...

You cannot see acumulated monthly earnings.

They are showing totals now.

I see totals, but this are not MONTHLY totals, this are Page totals.

Still bad!

1 reason for being able to "cost" more is because their ads are so much more attractive than regular banners or adsense ads. that's just my opinion. though it does seem that they came from nowhere... and with the user base of this website and noone has heard of them before oct. of 05 then it's kinda suspicious. Hopefully they have anticipated this kind of "blastoff" and they have the hardware to keep up. and hopefully their programming can keep up too...

You've got more than totals, you've got channels displaying as well now (since yesterday); the rate at which they're introducing improvements is quite hectic.

Darktick, Adsense took off pretty rapidly too when they started. If something pays well, keeps innovating, and offers good customer service there's no reason why they should continue to grow. Chitika eMiniMalls (beta) is showing all of that and more.

yes adsense took off but look at their parent company... the largest most known search engine in the world. i think they had a pretty big "customer" base already established... does anyone know if there is a parent company of chitika? if there is who is it? how did they become so popular so fast. in the last week this has been the talk of all three webmaster forums i go to regularly.

Yes. And they've been around for more than a couple of months.

If you don't join the party now you're the only one who's losing out ;)

It's not the same as a parent company, but I'd think that having connections with both Shopping.com and Amazon isn't too shabby of a way to start out.
