Hello. I am getting ready to spend a few thousand for a web designer to design a website for the buyers and sellers in my industry.Kind of like a closed(within the site)pay per click. One web guy told me that i should buy one on ebay and then have a web designer redesign it. So i look on ebay and i see them for $30 bucks!A couple for $100.00.
They claim not to be affliates. When i search the completed items i see that THEY ARE ALWAYS UP FOR SALE> Now im really skeptical. Are they just throw together templates. My web guy quoted me $5000.00 for my site. Im just trying to figure out the catch to buying one of these sites and trying to rework it. I have learned more on this website then i have in the last 2 years going it alone.
Thanks to yawl.

pat,

I suggest you visit eLance.com and post this as a "project". You will receive free quotes from 10 to 20 individuals/companies. Take an average and you'll know how much you need to pay.

Hi Pat,

I have looked at some of the Pay Per Click Search Engine sites that are for sale on eBay. They use a basic script that is fairly inexpensive. I've signed up as an advertiser on one that's for sale just to try it out. I recognized the interface since I own the same script and have developed 3 of my own PPC sites. They really haven't used the script to their full capabilities. Some people throw a PPC site together and sell it on eBay not realizing that their site has a lot of limitations because they don't know how to use the script to it's full capacity. I can understand your skepticism.

My opinion is that if you are paying $5000 for a web site, I hope it has all the bells and whistles. Do you know what type of script is going to be used?

If I can help you in anyway, you can email me at: <snip>

Why don't you just buy your own script? Here are some sites that sell good PPC scripts:

The Jackhammer System by HyperSeek $3,000
SearchStar PPC $269.00
Search Halo $85.00
Bid Search Engine $500.00
Smart Search $69.00
