Historical Overture Search data

Are there any bid management companies or other sources where one can access Overture's historical search term data? Apart from the most recent month from Overture's own search tool...

Nothing that anyone is willing to share publically. That's proprietary data and can't be handed about without repercussions.

I thought there may be a pay service out there, but I figured it's bit of a long shot.

hmm, do you think such data is something people would be interested in?

I was thinking of utilizing some software i wrote that takes dictonary files and runs them through the overture search term suggestion and logs them into a database. Recording this information on a monthly basis, for people to search past terms.

Think more people would be interested in this?

Ya, alot of people would be interested in it, and I know of several individuals that already have archives. However, the realization that a lawyer may knock on the door if it is shared, is a fairly significant deterent.

why would they get upset if this is information freely available form the searchterm page?

Music is freely available from the radio; but you can't copy it and resell it.

The Overture Data is Copyright. The fact that they give us free access to some of it does not alter that fact. If you tried to re-package and resell the data they would be very unhappy.
