Not sure if this has been mentioned in here or not, but here it is anyways.

You can sometimes get a pretty good deal on the #3 overture spot in Yahoo. You can bid on the #4 spot on overture and still show up as the #3 spot on Yahoo if Ebay is one of the top 3 sites bidding above you.

Yahoo doesn't list any Ebay ppc listings in it's overture results.

I have several keywords I use this with. It's kind of nice to pay for a #4 and get a #3.

Good tip 4crests!

I didnt realise that "premium positions" on Overture discounted sites that are not listed in partners listings in the "premium group". I guess ebay is not the only case. We are only interested in partners and premium positions as i dont think anybody would go to overture directly to search sites like ours. Maybe i can save some money!

I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it, but my best guess is that Yahoo has it's own auctions, so it doesn't want Ebay showing up in it's searches. Therefore, it deletes any Ebay overture listings.

Recently Yahoo and Ebay have been getting along better, so it will be interesting to see if this tip will continue to work.

Yahoo! US doesn't show ebay results via Overture as they are, as suggested above, competitors in North America.

But Yahoo! Europe does via Espotting, given the recent European deal between Y! and ebay:

4crests,

Thanks for the tip.

I have been fighting with ebay for a few terms, and now I don't think I need to, if I don't need to worry about them showing up on Yahoo.
