Just curious but what do you think of ah-ha.com? How do you compare it to other ppcs? What about price?

Ah-ha is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I had very little success. Compared with overture, they really have no partners of similar size to AOL, MSN, and Yahoo. Because many of their referals come from smaller, lesser known sites, the referals lacked quality and quantity for me. I could imagine that if you have a product that would be especially good for surfers of there partner sites, then you might do well (I believe they have a teen site and a family site).

Thanks so much for your comments. I really appreciate it. We are working on that. You can already see our top 3 sites on altavista, looksmart, and Earthlink. We are working on some larger partnerships. We also have listings with dogpile, and mamma.com.

I have seen mixed results. For some of my keyword groups I have had terrible results. Price wise they are fine but I was receiving a lot of junk traffic from some search engines I had never heard of. On two other keyword groups I had fine results and didn't see the junk.

I think you will find that for most people that Looksmart, Earthlink, Altavista, dogpile and mamma combined account for less than 10% of their traffic com, probably more like 5%. In addition, I think the quality of the referals is lower compared with wider used sources.

Is there anybody out there that just LOVES a particular PPC? Not me.

We use Ah-Ha, after we got around our sticky sales guy to the heads over there we got what we needed. (: The website itself I never use, however the banner advertisement it servers on other websites - you cant beat the cost per impression even from those venders themselves.

On the whole I have been happy with ah-ha. I found that when you get into lesser searched words there are some junk referer problems but if you stick to higher traffic words, since we can actually afford them in ah-ha, the volume and quality of traffic is more than acceptable.

my sales person is the best, she is always extremely helpful, not quite like overture where we always get the run around
