Tool for getting search count on specific list?

I'm working on a keyterm-by-keyterm performance tracking grid so that I can optimize my Overture bids. I thought it would be great to get a click-through-rate type number by adding a column for search volume and comparing that to click counts (to elucidate the 'conversion' for the Over copy), but I can't find any tool that will allow me to do a lookup of the search counts on a specific set of terms.

I've been poking around the tools I use (Softnik's Good Keywords Pro, Bidright Pro, Wordtracker) but can't figure out a solution.

Does anyone have any tips on tools for this purpose? Alternatively, does anyone have a technique for getting this info (or a close approximation) out of Wordtracker?

Sort of related: Are there any restrictions on querying the Search Term Suggestion tool (repeatedly or too frequently) that I would have to keep in mind if I were to build the tool myself?

Thanks for any info.

If you repeatedly hammer searchengines they will, at some point ban your IP address. However you can minimise hits by caching. (Keyword values chane monthly on the goto suggestion tool so there's no point requesting a new count until then)

Thanks, Josk. What qualifies as excessive? I'm sure it varies immensely, but do you have any sense about order of magnitude?

I would run the thing for my own clients only. That's roughly ten reports on 200 key terms once a month. I wasn't worried about getting shut down by frequent reporting on a given list, but rather the repeated queries related to looping through a particular list. (I was thinking of setting a 10 second delay between queries).

BTW, the main question for me is still whether this functionality can be found prebuilt elsewhere.

You should be ok with that. It is when you get into the 500-1000 per day area that they are going to have a problem.
