eSpotting a spot too restrictive

I thought I ran into the most restrictive PPCSE with OvertureUS when they denied about half of the terms I listed on other sites. Then, when I asked for a second opinion, they said they didn't like my description either.

But, eSpotting has taken the cake by denying all but ten of the 160 search terms that are accepted elsewhere. Add to that a less-than-intuitive user interface, sketchy reporting, and seemingly-disinterested support. And I was told eSpotting was key to the UK market. I guess I'll give OvertureUK a shot.

Hi Abercrombie and welcome to WebmasterWorld!

I had a similar situation with Espotting too. They accepted all my terms then two weeks later they sent another mail stating that they dropped all but two of them. The two they left were as general as you could get on my targets. The rest of the keywords were not "specific" enough so they dropped them.

I didn't worry about it anyway since I was only receiving about 50-100 hits a day total which just didn't cut it.

I've only just started using eSpotting and had the same problems with getting keywords listed.

When I looked closely at the reasons for rejection I had to agree with eSpotting. Relevancy is the order of the day. You only have to browse the different forums at WmW to see the problems that non relevant listings are creating on SE's that show PPC results.

I am sure that when I resubmit my listings that have been modified to comply, that they will be accepted.

The more other submitters find the submission guidelines onerous and give up, the more profitable my listings will become.

Heck, if I was getting 50 - 100 clicks I'd be making good money.

We are having the same problem.

The are accepting one-word-term instead than more targeted two-three-terms.

It seems to me that they are more interested in generic terms to get as many revenue they can.

For me this is not a good start.

I don't have any problems. All ten phrases in, no problems.

I haven't had a good experience with espotting as of yet. I submitted terms and opened an account... They took my money but just keep my search terms in "pending" mode. For over a month, I can't get approval, decline or a response. It's like nobody is home. I'm about to just contest my credit card and forget it.

When you get a kw denied, have you ever tried building a page specific to that keyword?
Then using that as the target of the ppc link?
