Does anyone know where Goto is taking their database of suggested search terms from? Is it only from their own searches, or are their partners also included?
Does the number represent the number of clickthroughs made via GoTo partners or the number of searches made on GoTo partners? (meaning counting in when I search for a particular phrase on altavista but don't follow GoTo link)

It's searches not clickthrus..... and because of this, the #'s can be inflated pretty easily.... check out the 2nd most populary phrase for aromatherapy [inventory.goto.com]. It's pretty obvious that no consumer would search for this, but yet goto is estimating over 7,000 searches a month.....

I run into them from the interrogator like that quite often Seth. It is kinda amazing the number of people running those types of search bots these days just to inflate figures.

Sorry, I'm a PPC newbie. I've also noticed ridiculous terms on the suggestion tool with wildly inflated figures. Why would anyone want to do that??
