now hit's 40% of uk !!

Well according to Goto Gazette April 2001 Issue 2, Goto is now reaching up to 40% of UK online customers. I do love it when these advertising bods place the word "up to" in their campaigns.

"With a new search partner InfoSpace" although this is a UK news letter the only listing I can find for Goto on Infospace is on the .com SE and that's only a re-direct to dogpile.

I don't know if infospace.co.uk will be moving away from direct hit or maybe just another site that jumps on the "featured listings" bangwagon, can we bear the stress on a Friday morning, I think so.

"In the UK we have had an outstanding first quarter delivering over 120 million search" mmm interesting considering some of the partners they have:-

Freeserve, Ask Jeeves, LibertySurf, Freeola, EMT Network, NEW InfoSpace. My money would go on the lions share of that coming from Freeserve & Ask and as for Freeola I can't remember the last time I had that search engine banging on my door.

What would be a feather in someones cap at Goto.co.uk would be featured listing on AV.co.uk, which has got to be an offer on the table considering that her big sister shows .com bids.
