I have been using Search Submit Pro for years and have paid several thousand dollars to Yahoo. Today they send me a notice that my Insertion Order will be canceled effective some date in June and I must sign through Positiontech instead of working directly with Yahoo.

Are they owned by Yahoo? If not, I am not sure what would yahoo gain by pushing an existing customer to a third party (I never called them for any technical help in these years, so they are definitely not spending money on supporting my feeds).

Its actually getting interesting and frustrating. Yahoo sends me this notice from an email address which is not valid anymore. (sspro@...inc.com.).

When I reply to that email address, I get a delivery failure.

The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1 <sspro@....inc.com>... User unknown (state 14).

Sounds like Yahoo is divesting that business and spinning them off to be independent again... Wow, I haven't thought of PositionTech or Inktomi in a long, long time! I don't actually remember who bought who first...

According to Yahoo they are moving everybody they are working with directly on Submit Pro to 3rd party vendors. I guess they are trying to save on resources
