On clicking the link there was a long page of legal mumbo jumbo which i didn't have time to go through.
This morning I was advised to add funds to my UK account. When I opened it I was shocked to see that "content" advertising had been turned on on all my ad groups.
I would NEVER turn on "content" in Yahoo!
I have just spent the last hour going through ad group by ad group turning it off.
I then went to my USA account & what do you think? All ad groups had "content" turned on. Again I had to manually turn it off by ad group.
This is one of the lowest things that Yahoo has done in my 6 years as an advertiser. In my opinion it's totally illegal. How long will it take advertisers to realize that this change has occurred?
Yahoo Pete - how can your company justify this outrageous behavior? You wonder why our perception of Yahoo has deteriorated over the last few years.
I'm so mad right now I don't what more to say.
Everyone reading this should check their accounts & make whatever changes they think are necessary.
In my administration settings "content" is set to off.
One of the problems with dealing with Yahoo is the site is so slow & difficult to navigate.
They have settings all over the place. Why, if content is set to off in the administrative level, is it shown as active at the ad group level?
On top of all this they have disactivated about half my keywords which I have had since 2002 and want me to double my bids. Fat chance.
I checked with the folks here who are managing the Account Optimization program, and they told me that turning Content Match on or off is not part of the program. So while I can’t say for sure why your settings might have changed, it wasn’t due to the optimization program.
As Zamboni pointed out, the “master setting” under the Administration tab in your account has the ultimate control over your account: If that account-level setting is set to “Off,” you should not receive any Content Match traffic in your entire account, no matter what the settings are at the campaign or ad group levels. We designed it this way to give advertisers more control of their tactic settings, so that certain campaigns could be set up solely for Content Match traffic, and others solely for Sponsored Search traffic.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for taking the time to answer this question.
It must be increasingly difficult for you to read all the negative posts about Yahoo.
Why, for instance, when I open my US or UK account the balance in my account is for the last time I logged in - not current - even if that was weeks ago with no way to refresh it.
Have you any idea how annoying that is. I have to open 2 or 3 pages & then return to the main page before it changes & I can see my actual balance. Opening just one page does not work.
With all your other problems I would think that you would not want to molest people with such a small & basic problem.
