Time-of-Day Ads vs. Quality Score

I manually have been trying to control the times of the day that my ads are showing on a couple of campaigns. AdWords has this feature built in.

Suprise, Suprise, Suprise!

It seems according to the rep that since I'm not running the ads 24/7 the quality score dropped from 5-bars to 2-bars.

Maybe you are not running the ads at the times where you produce the best CTR. Even through you aren't getting good conversions on the ads at that time, it might have been those clicks keeping you up in the results.

Actually it pushed my CTRs up from about 4-5% to 20-25%

so Yahoo wants you to pay more for a premium time. what is the big deal? If you are converting better at those periods, you should be able to pay a higher CPC...
