Really frustrated with Yahoo Search Marketing (Overture)

I run a couple of web sites for my boss, one of many tasks I'm in charge of so I don't have the time to check the accounts every minute of every day.

Back in the new year I downgraded the monthly budget to $2 per day due to lack of sales off of the sites and downgraded the per click rates to a reasonable 0.10 - 0.15, not Yahoos fault since the traffic was coming then going elsewhere. I had also taken Yahoos advice and signed up with an affiliate.

Yahoo has regularly overcharged the account, sometimes double, sometimes TRIPPLE the budget.

A royal mess occurred when I decided to delete my Affiliate listings with Yahoo on Feb 8 2007. The catagory was to be deleted and the system said all listing in it would also be deleted. That was exactly what I wanted, delete everything there.

On Feb 9th I noticed TWO $75 charges in a row, then they suspended the account due to the balance of -$21!

The cause: An affiliate listing thast I thought was deleted, that Yahoo's system SAID would be deleted, had been moved to the 'unasigned' catagory and the bid MAXED OUT at $2.01 per click!

We argued back and forth through emails, they blamed me and I fully blamed them. Finally got them to issue a $125 credit (NOT THE FULL OVERAGE) but it would of been more comfortable to get the pliers and pull my own teeth out.

Now we come to today, Feb 23rd 2007 and I'm notified that my account had been 'upgraded' to the new system.

They also notify me of TWO MORE $75 charges today, coincedentally at the same exact time of the upgrade.

Math would suggest that a $2 daily budget would not deplete for quite some time, but somehow they mismanaged a way to do it AGAIN.

The rep I spoke with on the phone was clueless as to why? IT'S THEIR SYSTEM AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON? He will "submit a REQUEST" for a credit and will respond within 3 days?

THEY SEE THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THEIR SYSTEM WHY NOT IMMEDIATELY REFUND?

I want to cancel services but am afraid it would hurt my ability to get refunded if they know I'm through with them.

Any suggestions? Thanks

That's what chargebacks are for...
