Horrible Matching on YSM Partner Networks

I am absolutely LIVID! I just did a search for my domain name on AltaVista and one of my YSM ads came up for totally unrelated keywords.

In other words, typed "myDomain.com" into AltaVista and my ad for the keyword "Green Widgets" showed.

I have the content network turned off.

HOW CAN YSM ALLOW THIS KIND OF CRAP?

Some kind person just pointed out that Advanced Match was the cause of my ill's. I foolishly thought it would work like Google's broad match... No, its actually a feature designed to grab money out of your pocket. From Yahoo's online help:

"Advanced match type ads are displayed for a broader range of searches related to your keywords, titles, descriptions and/or web content...."

I'd heard people say, "Turn off Advanced Match" before, but I never really knew why. Yahoo takes an EXTREMELY broad license when determining keyword matches. I mean, really, crawling my destination page to figure out what keywords match?

Ahh. OK...ich verstehe jetzt. Isn't that about the same as the quality score in Google? But instead of just a horrible score you get broader terms?
