Just upgraded to new YSM, may I know if the old conversion tracking codes still work? Or I need to replace by the new codes in my site?

Thanks for help!

As long as you don't make ANY changes to either the code or to the settings of your account, the old Overture conversion tracking code will still work in Panama.

**However** if you make changes to the conversion tracking settings in Panama, it will enable the "NEW" code and will disable the overture code.

You can access information from YSM Panama's help tool here: [help21.marketingsolutions.yahoo.com...]

Go to Administration => Analytics

why is this problem left up to us the "advertiser" to figure out on our own? where is Yahoo in telling us ahead of time or even when I have asked about it. I saw that I had no conversion data in my account and they told me to simply turn it "on" but made no mention of the code itself being different.

YSM Response to an email queery:

In order to install the Conversion Only Analytics you will need to go to the Administration tab in your account and click on the Analytics sub tab. Once there enable the Analytics function by pressing the 'Enable Analytics' button. If this step is already completed you may skip directly to Inserting the Constant Average Value for your conversions. This is where you would decide how much revenue you actually make from each conversion, and once this is entered press the Save button to the right of that field. This number will be used by your Reports to calculate how much revenue you are actually making from your advertisements with Yahoo! Search Marketing. Once you have pressed the Save button a script will be generated at the bottom of your page which you will need to copy from there and paste it into the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags on your site's conversion page(s). Once this is installed your account will start receiving data and you will be able to optimize your ads based on the number of conversions as well as view that information in your Reports.

I spoke to my Yahoo rep about this the other week because I was shocked to see that conversions were being recorded in my Panama account... I was told that the old account conversion tracking will be active and work through the end of this quarter to give advertisers a chance to update the codes.

You'll want to go into your account and update them sooner rather then later!

I too have been in the same boat- the Panama accounts were recording analytic data UNTIL I turned analytics "on" in the new interface. I was told that apparently the old conversion code would continue to work for a short amount of time until either A)Yahoo eliminated the old codes abilitly to work in their system or B)the search advertiser turned analytics "on" in their new Panama account.

A bigger issue that I am having is that we have 2 seperate accounts that need conversion code on the same checkout page. With the old version, we were able to successfully use 2 different conversion code snippets on the same checkout page. Now with the change I have been told 2 different things. I tried running the 2 code snippets, and only one of them is recording conversions. Anyone have feedback on this issue?
