Hi
Can anyone point me in the right direction for information on Yahoo's double serving policy. I've heard it's similar to Google's but I cannot find any information on their site on this
Thanks in advance
Clyde

Oddly enough I came here to post about the same thing, except in my case the culprit is quadruple posting.

I formally complained to Yahoo! on October 26th, submitting detailed research showing the connection between the sites and how they all tie back to one company.

Their initial response was lame to say the least;

"While privacy issues prevent us from informing you of any specific decisions we make, please know that we will perform a full review and, if necessary, take the appropriate action."

In the end they did nothing. Right now, literally, the top 3 spots for my client's main KW are all occupied by one unscrupulous advertiser.

A footnote to this story, Google with the same information in the same time frame took action and booted 3 of the 4 sites.

On 23 Aug 2006 I reported one company with three positions on the same SERP and I got this response:

"Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have forwarded your message to our Global Content Quality team so that they may conduct a thorough review of the listings in question.

While privacy issues prevent us from informing you of any specific decisions we make, please know that we will perform a full review and, if necessary, take the appropriate action.

Thank you for sharing your comments with us."

So it's nearly 3 months later and not a thing has changed. It's obvious they don't care about it so I guess I should start doing it too. I think that I'll just buy the top 10 positions so I can control the world ;-)
