"New Term" = null_term = no excuses

Overture has long-claimed that these are normal ...

So ... all of my reports for all of my campaigns for 10/16/2005 are limited to one listing for one term ... the dreaded "New Term/null_term".

Overture has claimed that this is the result of a term that has been in the campaigns but has not been searched on before entering the reporting arena as the result of a search that finally triggered it. Apparently it is hard to figure out which term/ad was triggered for its first time, so their program spits out "New Term/null_term".

Well ... I've always suspected that was baloney.

Today when all of my campaigns show only that non-term in the reports for yesterday, it's clear that that explanation was bunk.

Thoughts on "New Term/null_term"? Anyone else seeing that in their reports for yesterday?

I usually average about $3 spend per day in one of my "orphan" accounts (all new activity moved to Adwords).

Yesterday this account showed over $160 in clicks, all "new term" and "null" url, and all from the Content Network. No increase in sales.

Content Network now disabled.
