Very Important...Possible Credits for all the inconvenience

So I just tried to login today (8/24/05) 3 full days after the 'system enhancements' and cannot. I asked my account manager what, if any, compensation for these ongoing service interruptions is being considered and the good news is that it is being discussed at Yahoo. They are actually considering acknowledging fault and recognizing how much of our time has been wasted this week; not to mention all the previous system problems we all have to deal with but are never publicly recognized.

I've received quite a few of these emails. It was very nicely written and signed by Meisel - nice touch.

The real question is how much work will we have todo vs Yahoo in determining all the credits we're owned for the budgeting tool going over 500%+ in many accounts?

Seems to be another technical difficulty on Yahoo's part if not every advertiser is getting the 'apology' email.

We have two accounts and I didn't get an email either... Go figure!

This email is being delivered to all advertisers, it might not reach everyone until end of day today (Monday).

If you didn't get this email, drop me a note with your email address and I can make sure it gets to you.

"This email is being delivered to all advertisers, it might not reach everyone until end of day today (Monday).

So your posting yesterday that Ted's email was sent out to all advertisers yesterday was incorrect.

All,

In order to roll out the enhancements planned for the upcoming months, we need to make a few more updates to our system. This will require a brief maintenance period during off-peak hours this week that will limit your access to your account for several hours. The maintenance is scheduled to begin Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. and last through Wednesday at 3:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

Please know that we regret any inconvenience this may cause, and are committed to completing this maintenance as quickly as possible. In the meantime, feel free to send us your feedback at comments-ysm@cc.yahoo-inc.com. Your input is really important to us, and every message will be read.

Is everyone else still waiting on that apology email from Yahoo?

I get in on every 5th attempt and now I cannot change any of my listings from offline to online, (I stopped everything when I did get in about 7 days ago).

This is ridiculous. Are they trying to lose customers?

OH and I did get the "apology" email, it's all lip service and not worth the bandwidth it cost to send it. This down time has already cost me several thousand dollars. Good work Yahoo.

No email. $40k/month spend. Not a word.

Again yep. No emails to any of my clients or accounts I have of my own. Like I predicted, they couldn't even get something as simple as sending an email out done right. Pathetic.

Well that's great :) They're showing 'extra' recognition to some at the expense of others'.

I just got a couple e-mails stating they would rebate money on two accounts. One is a small account and one is medium-sized. Not much money, but I'll take it.

Now I just hope I get a credit on my other medium-sized accounts and my one big Platinum one.

We're seeing a huge influx of emails right now for credits. Looks like we'll have some sorting todo after the holiday.

Hooray! Three credit emails! That's about the most unexpected thing to ever drop into my inbox, including the time I won the Nigerian lottery!
