The representatives are of course again cluess. I just called them and they said it's been down for 30 minutes. I told them no...that's how long you've been at work. Find out how long the problem has existed...correct answer = since last night.
I didn't make the post 'cuz I felt it was too negative.
Wish now I had.
However, they're not getting any new money as while Overture has been up for a couple hours, their account creation process only errors out (and at the last page so it's really a time waster).
Looks like Google's getting some new accounts this morning.
Give me a break.
They can't even manage their PPC program which they have had for years. I have no great faith that their employees can implement the new program with more competence then they manage their PPC side.
That's exactly why they don't post anything on their website; I've seen like 2 system down messgaes in 3 years. They such A-holes.
Personally they need a complete new management team put in place and clear out the clueless one's that have been running this from the start.
They also need a new view on customer care.
They need to recode most of the programming.
They need to get rid of the editorial mess!
Yahoo it is very simple... you make advertisers wait weeks, sometimes months for pending keywords to be approved, disabled keywords and a whole bunch of odd rules as to why - if we are even told why. By this time advertisers have placed all their keywords and around 70% of their budget with Google - leaving Overture with about 20% and other smaller engines around 10%
When we are dealing with keyword lists, we don't want to spend time moving it all around - so the 70% Google has now stays with them - pretty much forever.
Wake up Yahoo!
