Hi All

This is my first post on the forums and having read the other postings I thought I would join in the moaning about Overture.

Other the past month we have encountered so many problems and I seem to have Overture now on speedial.

The latest problem being that we couldn't update our bids for 2 days and previous to that we are unable to change all our matching options.

It took me 3 weeks to have a spreadsheet uploaded despite following the advice given to me by their support staff. I had requested it be sent to a human editor yet it still continued to go through the automated system to be rejected again and again.

Should I lose faith in their ability to provide a quality service?

No Never underestimate the overuture's service. Its really excellent but somtime when they need to update or upgrade they might have need to do that.

We have been spending so huge amount of money to overture with no complients

Cheers

Happy Overture Bidding

I still feel Overture has good service (well compared to the no service you get from Google). They do have problems with changing things and getting things reviewed and up fast enough.

If they don't fix that, Google will just blow right by them.

My major complaint is the amount of time it takes to refresh pages. Even with a bid manager like GoToast, it's still necessary to go into the DirecTraffic Center fairly often.

You would think they would offer a local desktop app to keep their server loads down and their customers happy.

Hi,
Gotoast is now Atlasonepoint, anyways see atlasonepoint has different refrest time that is say for example 12 time/day, 24times/day so on. yes it is sure that when it is updated from atlasonepoint it may take more time rather then updating directly from DTC (Direct Traffic Center).
If you want to maintain the bid for every moment then u have to do it thourght DTC and i am sure from DTC it updates very quickly and it take not more then a min.

Cheers

The long refresh times are caused by the DTC's incredibly poorly coded web pages. Trying to update anything was a nightmare because the "Manage Categories" page was 2.2mb! No wonder IE slows to a crawl, even on a 2mbps ADSL line.

I have used overture for 4 years (started when the were still Goto). They sometimes have the most wretched service, and other times its quite good. They are definately inconsistent though and have made weird rules and then repealed them, all with very little communication or help to their advertisers. That said, keep jumping over the hurdles because in my experience you usually can get what you need/want out of them after enough pestering and it is usually worth the headache.

I despise Overture's customer support. It is the worst, most incompetent I have ever seen anywhere. You'd think spending $50k a month would get you something, but it doesn't believe me..

Their system is not as bad as their customer support, but it is still terrible IMO. Google has them beat so badly it is ridiculous.

Oh well, they are big so I have to use them ;-)
