Any point in complaining?

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience in dealing with overture allowing very questionably related sites to bid on their specific keywords. I don't mind competition, but I keep having very broadly related sites bid on (And drive prices up for) keywords they really don't belong in, presumably because the category they are in is too competitive or they just have deep pockets or they don't track conversions.

For example (not my real kws) seeing an auto insurance site listed on a search for custom wheel rims. Sure, in the very broadest sense they are both car realted, but come on.

Is there any point in complaining to overture about it, or do I just suck it up and hope they realize they aren't going to make it and they leave?

I'd just suck it up.. it has to be a pretty major violation for Overture to act on a competitors complaint (which this doesn't sound like). Believe it or not Overture does work to clean up some of this on there own (I've had approved listings they determined were non-relevant after they had been running for years)

i hate the way they do some things... i have some listings that are the same way, but i don't want to tell. yes, it's business, not 4th grade, but i think it all comes around at some point.

i wouldn't do anything about it unless it gets out of hand.

just my 2 cents.
