I been trying and trying but my ctr rate never improved. the words are quite expensive compare to what I sell. "tshirt" for example, can some suggest how I can improve it without paying a bungle.

First try is to improve the ad text to encourage people to click. Study the words other people are using, but at the same time make your ad unique!

Next is to look for two word phrases to target, where the ad can be more targetted and hopefully the cost will be lower since there is less competition.

By using the Overture suggestion and add tool, its easy to drill down through a lot of KWs and just click and add them to your KW list. Finding a lot of small, yet related, KWs can lower your costs quite a bit.

Bidding on one word search terms at OV can be quite expensive, both in terms of ROI and bid pricing, and should be monitored closely for effectiveness. Some websites just don't offer the variety of products it takes to make these KWs productive.
