Overture - Separate Account for Each country?

Can I access UK / German / Spanish traffic through my US account?

By comparing same KW on different OV markets - I came to the conclusion that UK / Germany traffic is not more than 5% of Us - probably less. So all these countries combined would probably be less than US alone
Would you agree? What would you say is the ratio of the traffic a major European country gets - in proportion to US?

Is is possible at all to tap to this traffic via my Us account or do they force me to open a new account for each country?

1, You need a new account for each country, although If you are nice to them, they may allow them all under 1 master log-in :)

2, there is NO way you can make a statement like that about UK or German traffic being less than 5% of USA traffic.

a, what industries are you referring to?
b, having spent ££££££s over the years, I can tell you that in a lot of industries, its a lot lot more than 5%

but hey, the more people who dont realise that over there, the better eh ;)

1, it all depends what industry you are targetting.

2, conversion rates are (imo) based on a lot more than country, and usually involve factors such as price, brand, quality , usability etc etc.

3, I know people who have made more £££s by sticking to europe with their brand/product, than those who ventured into the USA.

sometimes £££s can be set a bit higher here.

there are just too MANY differences to make a comparison.

I myself am just beginning to open up non-US overture accounts to addvertise our software products...They sure do take A LOT longer to review KWs than they do here in the US.

I think it a major failing of Overture to not provide the ability to access all markets from a single account login. I signed up with Adwords and had ads showing within 10 minutes in the countries I chose from a select list.

I'm not going to bother with Overture until they do something about this silly cumbersome way of signing up for multiple markets.

I log in to U.K., DE and FR in addition to the U.S. under one login. Not sure, but it may depend upon the level of service you have (according to your expenditures).

I have Overture accounts for both the UK and USA. The ROI for the US has been very poor for me. Although I sell to the US, UK customers seem much more likely to buy from me, even though my products are easy to ship and are niche products.

Zoron, when you log in to the different countries under one login, do you still have a minimum spend for each different market?

Yes there's a minimum bid specific to each country/market in pounds or euros. 'Campaigns'/accounts are accessed independently via a pull down menu, in case that wasn't clear.

Has anyone actually had this happen to them? I'm about to open up my adverts globally (which took all of 30 seconds with AdWords BTW) and am dreading the thought of typing in thousands of words again!

Anyone know if Overture has any plans to make this process much more user friendly?
