Goto Search Suggestion Tool

Is the site down?

I'm trying to use the Goto Search Suggestion Tool from goto.com but it isn't working. The page is currently unavailable. Also, the GoTo Price Interrogator from Searchengineworld also isn't working (I suppose because they are linked). Is anyone else having this problem?

Yep, it has been down a few days. There was a notice in the DTC, but it is not there today.

Yes, I noticed the same thing today. I hope they don't take it away, it is such a useful tool!

I take a bulk of my keywords out based upon this tool. Without it I will be spending less and receiving less traffic to all new and existing clients, :(

I hope this is not a cost cutting measure.
However I am confident (hopefull) that it will return and soon.

I have new clients to sign up, and it makes it alot easier to find terms to add.

Adding search terms to GoTo is not my core business.
My time is valuable, I will spend X amount of time looking for terms with or without the tool.

rzfree, I don't know what that link is, but I assume you must be logged into goto first to use it? (cookie). I get send on a round robin of about 10 sites that are dynamically reloaded. shiver.

Hmm, when I click link in post it becomes
[secure.goto.com...]
but after cutting off the extra http:// it works fine, no logging in necessary. Deleted all cookies just in case I forgot to logout sometime last millenium - still can connect ok.

Well spotted! It works. And the adult filter is off. That will make some happy.

Is the suggestion util still offline? I go to the url and get a bunch of redirects.

A friend of mine talked to GoTo and the tool is just down for repairs for a while. Looks like they took the whole inventory subdomain down for the moment, so good luck at trying that other version discussed above.

They didn't give an ETA on when it's going to be back up, but at least it'll be back up and available soon.

One thing I noticed is that the link for the "May" results are exactly the same results as the "December" link. Must be from the same database...Good to keep both links aronud I guess.

You are right, they are exactly the same results. There seems to be something new about the suggestion tool and the searches. The suggester is quite a bit faster this time around.

I dialed a wrong number and got an answering machine. The message said that the suggester may be offline this weekend ;-/
