OK, I know I am not supposed to use actual examples, but you will get a good laugh out of this: phrase "greatest common factor" was disallowed because of using word "greatest". God bless mathematically illiterate!

Life is full of exasperating examples like this. Perhaps "above the expected average common factor" would be a more acceptable and descriptive - NOT!
