i'm trying out a ppc management program and it stopped working yesterday (it's been running fine for 2 weeks). so i emailed the support and told them my problem. they asked how often i had it updating and i replied w/ every 10 min. he then replied by telling me overture only allows up to 48 bid checks and 24 bid updates per day per keyword.

is this true? even after the ppc program quit working i was able to change my bids in the admin area.

Yes, this is true. Imagine if the stock market worked the same way! Overall investment in stocks would be a fraction of what it is today, and our entire post-industrial world would be 30-40 years back in time.

I understand Overture's need to keep DTC running smoothly, but hopefully they'll recognize that market visibility equals greater liquidity equals more investment in PPC.

Is that a joke?

I needed something like that going into the weekend.

Those numbers are correct for updates and checks that are automated - for manual ones, the number is unlimited.

Anyone have any ideas or guesses as to what Overture's real costs are per access? If it cost them $0.01 each time someone viewed changed/bids I could understand them limiting access, but if it's $0.00001, then they're shooting themselves in the foot by limiting access IMO.
