We are currently advertising with google adsense, but have no links or ideas how to advertise with Overture's program (do they really have one?). We have written a lenghtly email to Overture for one of their "partner program" applications but it appears no where near as straightforward and simple as applying to the google adsense program. My question is does anyone have a direct link to Overtures program which is similar to Adsense?

My understanding is that they're working on one but haven't rolled it out to the public yet, I think they've chosen a few "ambassadors" that they're working with. You could try to call them, it's always good to try and speak directly wtih someone.

That begs the next question, to whom do I speak to and/or what number to call? I have tried the 1-866-www-over and asked to speak to someone in relation to offering content matching on my site. Each and every time I am either given a voice mailbox to someone whom never returns my calls, or the representative has no idea what I'm asking in the first place and tries to sell me on signing up for content matching as a advertiser. Thank you all so much for your helpful comments thus far as Ovetures adsense-like program sounds profitable yet difficult to obtain.

It sounds like you are a publisher and not an advertiser.

You want to publish Overture's adverts/results, just like the adsense program does and earn revenue.

Like 2_much says, I'm sure the ability to "publish" Content Match is only open to "Customiszed Partners" at present, but if you meet the criteria shown on the link below (>1,000,000 searches per month), then you can get in touch via email.

Introduction page for partners.

Stategic Partners - contact

Already been there done that long ago, wrote a 3 page letter, extrememly detailed, and to date have not recieved a reply from Overture. So from what you guys are pretty much telling me, none of you have any sort of publisher program similar to Adsense with Overture. It appears Overture is only working with directories they approach as apposed to publishers approaching them. I thought this forum was related to the Adsense publisher alternative program Overture is offering. I find it dissapointing that not a single one of you is current partnered with Overture to offer this program, and fail to understand the proported purpose of the forum (am I in the wrong forum?, is this just about advertisers that wish to simply be included for Overture's content matching?).

I feel like we have been chasing after something that is merely rumors and myths here at WW.

It is possible for someone to approach Overture and get their approval to run results on a non directory page. In fact, their are purely affiliate search engines out there that only feature Overture results. If you don't hear from them within a week after submitting your proposal, give them a call. They might not be quick, but if they smell money, they'll be following the trail.

I gave them another call today and got the same exact run around. They told me that you cannot speak directly to the strategic partner department and that they will forward my feedback to them (honestly, which I highly doubted). They also mentioned that their policy is to not respond if they are not interested to stategic partner inquires due to the high volumn of requests (which I also question). If you have any insights as to whom to speak to or how to contact someone direct to discuss the matter we are extermely eager to know. Also if anyone has any personal success stories in this venue we are just as eager to know as so far it seems like heresay and rumors concerning any Overture/Adsense like program being offered to directories other than large search engines...

care to share what sort of impressions per mth you get on the site, where you are looking to build a relationship with Overture for.

Here is what I wrote almost verbatim to Overture regarding the partner relation.

monsterisp,

I would advise removing most of ur last post, as that is information which is not really required, and is personal information.

Hits mean nothing, and with impressions like that, i am not surprised that you are not getting a response.

ALL search engines/players are interested in quality targeted traffic for a premium partnership, ideally over a few million searches or impressions a mth. so you got a lot of work to be done.

good luck
