I thought $50 was the max at overture. One of my keywords the top 3 are $60. When did this happen. We dropped out becasue we thought that we could never get to the top 4 becasue they were all at $50. I would have liked to have had a change to get to the top.

Not sure when but I think its up to $100.00 max. $50.00 wasn't enough for some of the lawyers. $100.00 probably isn't either but it'll have to do for now.

Are lawyers the only group that does that. I really can't think of any other group that could justify that.

There were some non-lawyer keywords in this thread. [webmasterworld.com] I remember being astonished at the $100 per click.

LegalMatch is an SF-based company I've read about a few times that's making a killing referring lawyer seekers to lawyers and taking a fee for each lead delivered to those lawyers. FindLaw is another one, and the reason lawyers are paying so much is they have no idea how to build traffic themselves because they were too busy with their Ivy League pedigreed educations to actually learn anything of value.

I really can't think of any other group that could justify that.
The lawyers can't justify it either, they just don't know what they're doing.
