Well, I have found out how to do it on most of the PPC engines but I can't figure out how to add keywords dynamically to titles and descriptions for overture.

Little help?

Thanks

Can't be done and to be honest if it could would probably lend itself to a whole bunch of Yoda like titles because of Match Driver.

Widgets buy us from.

I find it hard to believe it can't be done since you can do it on every other PPC engine.

If you set proper ad groups you can easily avoid "Yoda like" titles/descriptions...

For example on other networks..

lycos: $(term)$
findwhat: $(term)$
kanoodle: :::query:::
search123: [k]
goclick: {kw}
brainfox: %keyword%
google: {KeyWord}

What are those and how do you use them. I have never seen that before. Is that something you put in ad words or on your site.

They are codes you can put into your titles or descriptions.

Take Google Adwords for example.

If you had a ad group with the keywords:
blue widgets
red widgets
green widgets

You could do this in your title:

Buy {KeyWord} Now!

And a Description of this:
Find an array of {KeyWord} on our site!

For example if a user searched for "Blue Widgets" your adword would look like this:

Buy Blue Widgets Now!
Find an array of Blue Widgets on our site!

So, in the google search results {keyword} would be replaced in your adwords listing with the keyword the user searched for.

This makes customizing your titles/descriptions much easier. The only thing is I can't figure out what the code is for Overture.

Does anyone know it?

Yea well I just called Overture and they confirmed what webdiversity said.

It's ridiculous they don't allow this function.

Don't have a problem with it on Google, or Espotting <<searchword>> or <<usearchword>> for initial capitals (for those UK advertisers.

The issue with Yoda like stuff is that Overture match drive and tend to do the words alphabetically, so although we might want our ads to read one way, they will actually read some other way.

Guess we need a magic wand. (or is that "a magic wand need we")

On Google adwords if you have a campaign with several keywords you can only have 1 title and 1 description for all the keywords. If you put {keyword} in the title and description where you would put one of your keywords then whatever keyword was typed in will show up in that space instead. Yoda like means that the title and description will look funny because the title or description was not written in such a way that it looks right for each keyword in your campaign. ie {keyword} at company.com so if you have widgets, blue widgets, and widget Houston as keywords the first 2 would make since but the 3rd would not.

No, I dont think that is what webdiversity meant exactly ogletree..If you group your keywords correctly in PPC SE's like google you can avoid "Yoda Like" descriptions.

I think the problem webdiversity is referring to is from the "Overture match drive" which I don't really understand.

I was not talking about his problem. I was responding to hobbnet. He did not understand the subject. Webdiversity was talking about how to do what he is doing in Google on Overture.
